Safety


  • Refrain from taking part/continuing if you are unwell/experience any discomfort before & during the race.  Your health is most important.
  • Bring your own medication (if any).
  • Exercise more caution whilst running in the trail due to uneven ground, rocks/stone, exposed roots, branches, more slippery terrain during/after rain.  
  • There is higher risk of injury such as ankle sprain, tripping & bruising of body parts e.g. elbows, knees, palms.
  • During adverse weather such as thunderstorm/lightning, the organiser reserves the right to take any of the following actions:
    • Delay the start (cut off time will remain as 7pm).
    • Halt the race until the weather turns for the better.
    • Cancel the race.  There is no refund for uncontrollable factors such as adverse weather.
    • Any other action(s) deemed suitable
  • You may wish to have a headlight/torchlight on standby as the lighting condition in the trail may be poor at times.
  • If you need medical attention, do seek medical aid from the paramedic/medic team at the event site.  If you are out on the race course, please contact us at the emergency contact number (indicated on your number tag) and let us know your approximate location & the situation.  If you're out on the course & are unable to make your way to us on your own for medical aid, we will try to get to you as soon as possible.
  • Although not compulsory, you may wish to carry your mobile phone throughout the course of the event so you can contact the emergency number or be contactable.
  • Do not overdrink as it may lead to hyponatremia which can be fatal in some cases.
  • Please stay on the left of the trail/footpath as much as possible & do give way to other users of the trail & footpath.  If you need to overtake someone, please try to alert the person before you overtake on the person's right hand side.
